Growth

Opportunities

A continued improvement process is inherent at Cooinda. Each new accommodation experience provides opportunities for providing new and improved services throughout each season at Cooinda. Where once Cooinda was a summer-focussed camping and retreat destination it is now a year-round accommodation venue of choice.

In the warmer months, Cooinda guests embrace the great outdoors as they wonder through the beautiful gardens along meandering pathways, or simply sit and ponder, on the manicured lawns overlooking the picturesque Fleurieu coastline.  The local beaches are wonderful for walking, swimming, surfing, fishing, boating and other water activities.

The main hall at Cooinda is fitted with 2 commercial evaporative air conditioners whilst portable air conditioners can be placed in other rooms on the site.  Windows in all buildings are opened during the summer months to enjoy the cool sea breeze on warmer nights.

In the cooler months Cooinda transforms into an inviting winter retreat.  The main hall opens up to a fully enclosed balcony with views that sweep over the site and extend all the way out to the sea.  The main hall is heated quickly and efficiently with a commercial diesel heater and a homely large open fireplace.  What better way to spend a winter education and learning retreat than in a warm and inviting hall with magnificent views to the sea?

 â€‹

The adverse Covid-effects associated with reduced travel and camping opportunities have now passed.  In its wake, Cooinda has emerged as a venue for reinvigorating health and wellness.   Guests, be they students, teachers and/or colleagues, come together at Cooinda and enjoy a sense of togetherness and relationship gratefulness as they learn, discover and simply let go, in the peaceful surroundings of the site.

The camping and retreat experience is so valuable for the health and wellness of students, and it is invaluable to see the positive effect it has on the guests when they are at Cooinda.

Where once schools focussed on summer bookings, Cooinda has now become an all-seasons camping and retreat venue.
